Abstract:
The integration of the toxicological evaluation of a new drug with its pharmacokinetics and pharmacological profiling within and across species will provide more robust information to guide the clinician when taking a drug into humans for the first time. Furthermore, understanding the mechanism of toxicity may allow prediction of the event in humans.
