Abstract:
A follow-up of 53 patients with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis presenting with and without concomitant hepatic pathology revealed a negative influence on the effectiveness of treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis of both toxic hepatitis and exacerbation of chronic hepatic pathology. Measures that are not to be prescribed in aggravated hepatologic medical history include employment of combinations of isoniazid with rifampycin or pyrazinamide, with intravenous administration of izoniazid being recommended together with, a complex institution of hepatoprotector therapy to be received during the course of antituberculous treatment.
