A blade guide for hand trimming resin blocks for ultramicrotomy

A simple razor blade guide is described for trimming resin blocks for ultramicrotomy. Slices of unwanted resin (with or without tissues) may be removed at controlled thickness from the sides or tops of blocks leaving smaller blocks with smooth, flat surfaces. Either flat-embedded or dowel-mounted specimens may be trimmed.
