Background:

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) diagnosis and monitoring rely on radiographic assessment.
Standardized scoring methods are crucial for consistent interpretation of RA disease progression.
Understanding measurement error is vital for accurate radiographic evaluation.

Purpose of the Study:

To familiarize participants with rheumatoid arthritis radiograph scoring methods (Larsen and Sharp).
To introduce the concept of measurement error in radiographic assessments.
To evaluate participant understanding and performance in scoring RA joint damage.

Main Methods:

A plenary session preceded RA imaging group sessions, including reviews of Larsen and Sharp scoring methods.

Participants scored radiographs of metacarpophalangeal joints from two patients.

Scores were recorded on paper (absolute) and via interactive keypad (progression) for immediate visualization.
