[Maternal elimination diet during pregnancy and lactation, and the development of allergies in infants]

The preventive value of the matemal dietary elimination during late pregnancy and lactation on the development of atopic disease in infancy was review. Despite continuing controversy it was documented that the maternal food-allergen avoidance mainly during lactation period protects against the development of allergic disease.
