[Factors modifying treatment of adolescents with epilepsy]

We consider the factors which modify the treatment of epilepsy during adolescence: decision to start treatment, choice of the most suitable drug and its administration, the information which should be given to the adolescents and their families, the frequency, characteristics of follow-up visits whilst treatment is maintained and of its discontinuation, with particular emphasis on quality of life as the basic objective of the treatment of adolescents with epilepsy.
