[The influence of gastric acidity on digoxinemy (author's transl)]

The effect of gastric acidity on the absorption of a cardiac glucoside has been studied in vivo in three groups of patients with heart disease, measuring blood levels and urinary excretion of the digitalis compound by radioimmunologic assay. The median blood levels were lower in hyperacidic subjects and higher in hypoacidic patients; the urinary excretion of the digitalis compound showed no essential differences.
