Effort to accredit 'responsible' hospitals gains interest, critics

An effort to "accredit" the most socially responsible hospitals is gathering interest and support from some institutions. But others say the practice may hurt hospitals that don't make the grade, and the standards may not take into account the cumulative good rendered by all institutions in a market.
