Researchers urge AZT programs for hospital workers

Administering zidovudine, also known as AZT, to healthcare workers immediately after they've been exposed to blood suspected of being infected with the AIDS virus is a realistic attempt to reduce their likelihood of becoming infected. That was the conclusion of one of some 2,500 presentations made at the recent international AIDS conference.
