Pastoral care and bereavement

Ministering to the bereaved is a demanding task. Pastoral caregivers have to learn to forget about themselves, to enter into the center of others' concerns. They have to be willing to deny themselves, stop concentrating on their problems to create the space where God can work. Their faith and insight into life must form the core of their pastoral work.
