Experts agree quality is measurable, but agreeing on measurement is another matter

Putting quality initiatives into effect is going to be daunting, experts agreed at a conference sponsored by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Among other things, standards will need to be enforced in a way that encourages true internal improvement in hospitals rather than a cover-up mentality aimed at out-foxing inspectors.
