Is developing a multi-hospital alliance the route for most hospitals facing the challenges of the 1990s? Officials of Fort Sanders Alliance, a 1,100-bed metropolitan multi-hospital system in Knoxville, Tenn., services residents in that city as well as neighboring Sevierville and Loudon, Tenn.
