Abstract:
Hospitals that conduct strategic planning and implement comprehensive business plans are more profitable and efficient than hospitals without written plans, a new study shows. It also found that most successful hospitals included strategies to measure and improve quality and customer services in their business plans. Of the administrators that didn't conduct strategic planning, most said they hoped to begin in the next year.
