Cooperative incinerator may cause problems if not-for-profit venture
Abstract:
Eight hospitals within a 40-mile radius are building a regional incinerator which will be designed to meet the needs of the hospitals in complying with state and federal regulations for handling wastes, including those deemed to be hazardous. A question arises as to whether this incinerator can be operated as a not-for-profit cooperative. In this dialogue, Dr. Decker discusses the legal issues involved.
