The formation of medical groups for managed care contracting

The formation of organized medical groups for managed care contracting is becoming increasingly common in this new era of cost containment. In this article, the author suggests that hospitals should consider taking an active role in the formation of medical groups and highlights some of the important considerations that should be taken into account in order for medical group formation to be successful.
