Groups see more use of pacts, target alternate sites. 1991 group purchasing survey
Abstract:
Purchasing groups and alliance purchasing programs accounted for $11.1 billion in goods and services bought by hospitals last year, according to MODERN HEALTHCARE's 1991 group purchasing survey. Trends included the folding of additional hospital departments into central purchasing and increased targeting of alternate-site markets. The responses also documented significant growth and realignment in the industry.
