Abstract:
How can hospice caregivers provide better care? By cultivating the virtue of friendship as it relates to the ethical principle of "justice" in care. Friendship then becomes a paradigm for hospice care as caregivers--the new friends to the patient and family--enter another person's life during its final stage.
