Tax exemptions for Pa. hospitals could hinge on high court's ruling

Not-for-profit organizations in Pennsylvania, especially hospitals, are awaiting a decision by the state's high court concerning a nursing home's property tax exemption. Unless the Supreme Court agrees to hear the case and then reverses the lower-court ruling, state hospital officials fear it could become virtually impossible for any organization to obtain a property tax exemption.
