Abstract:
Health-related Quality of Life measures are being increasingly considered as tools to aid decisions of health resource allocation, given their potential to comprehensively assess the impact of a given illness or health intervention on the individual. The development of suitable measures requires an understanding of the way external and psychological variables interact to determine subjective well-being and necessitates careful determination of those variables most important to the patient.
