Abstract:
There are growing indications that Congress, in this session, will try to pass some form of federal standards for private security officers. In doing so, the U.S. Government will join a growing number of states that are seeking to regulate the hiring and training of both proprietary and contract officers. In this report, we'll update you on what can be expected in Washington in the year ahead. We'll also give you details on a new New York bill designed to regulate the security industry in that state.
