Abstract:
Recent changes to our health care system are affecting priorities in the design of hospital facilities. Architects are now more often consulted to renovate or retrofit facilities than to design and build new ones. Using case studies, this article outlines the principal points to consider when renovating or retrofitting a health care facility.
