Cable television viewers in New York are tuning in to an unusual new ad campaign for health care smart cards. Berdy Medical Systems Inc. of Rochelle Park, N.J., is running the ads in the hopes that card-carrying consumers will press their physicians and hospitals to jump on the automation bandwagon and buy electronic records software.
