Children Adjusting to New Situations (CANS)--a grief support group

Children and adult children who are grieving for a parent often feel confused, angry, and alone. One hospice started a support program to address the needs of these children, helping them to deal with their feelings and to realize that they are not alone. This program won the 1993 National Hospice Organization's President's Award of Excellence.
