Abstract:
Critical care transport (CCT). It is defined as the movement of critically ill patients from facilities where the patients' needs exceed available resources to places that meet their needs, while maintaining a specialized level of care. And it is a specialty that is becoming increasingly common in today's managed care environment--an environment that emphasizes putting people in network hospitals. It is also becoming a viable career move for paramedics wishing to upgrade their skills and education.
