Abstract:
The executive committee of SunHealth Alliance has voted to merge with newly formed AmHS/Premier, a deal that would make the nation's largest alliance even bigger. The merged organization would have a membership of nearly 1,700 hospitals with 315,000 licensed beds. That represents about one-third of U.S. community hospitals.
