Integrated monitoring and evaluation in the ambulatory care setting

The ambulatory care area has been slower to develop integrated monitor ing tools than have hospital-based systems. This article outlines some reasons for this slowness, elaborates on the need for further developments in this field, and describes one multispeciality clinic's process to meet this goal.
