Abstract:
A new radioisotopic method measuring the alterations in local blood volume of a muscle before, during and after exercise would seem to make possible the detection of frankly pathological muscular irrigation. The latter is characterised by a marked reduction in blood volume during effort, with or without slight secondary hyperhaemia. Given the correlation between flow and volume, the state of the blood flow may be deduced, and probably to follow the spontaneous progression of progress with treatment of the vascular problem and to assess its prognosis.
