Background:

Mammography screening is crucial for early breast cancer detection in women aged 50-59.
Compliance with screening guidelines remains a challenge in this demographic.

Purpose of the Study:

To identify factors influencing mammography screening compliance among women aged 50-59.
To determine effective strategies for improving adherence to mammography guidelines.

Main Methods:

A survey was conducted with 399 women aged 50-59.
Data collected focused on beliefs about mammography indications and healthcare center visits.

Main Results:

78% of women believed their physician would inform them about mammogram necessity.
Women not undergoing mammography were more misinformed about indications and less likely to visit health centers.

Conclusions:

Patient education to correct misinformation is vital.
Reminder systems for patients and physicians can improve mammography screening rates.
A multifaceted approach is recommended for enhancing compliance.
