Abstract:
The Fall 1995 issue of Michigan Health & Hospitals magazine featured an article about a patient-focused care (PFC) program that was getting under way. The article included basic information about changes that had been made and goals that had been set in an effort to increase patient satisfaction and lower operating costs. After 18 months of PFC, St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw has discovered some of the struggles and triumphs that accompany change.
