Coagulation defect in experimental trypanosomial infection.

    Summary

    The partial thromboplastin time test can monitor trypanosomiasis infection in animals. This coagulation test showed prolonged times during infection with Trypanosoma brucei or Trypanosoma congolense, indicating its utility for tracking disease progression and recovery.
