Abstract:
The challenges facing hospital management today demand that both medical and nonmedical personnel be as productive as possible, with the ultimate goal of establishing a link between employee growth and return on investment, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care Using two case studies--River Parishes Hospital and Manatee Hospital--this article discusses how 360-degree assessment programs can contribute to individual and team development as well as the bottom line. The article will show how ACUMEN Skills, a 360 degree assessment tool, implemented with appropriate facilitation, helped to increase productivity and efficiency, improve relationships among staff at all levels, reduces expenses, and strengthen the bottom line.
