[Disorders of motor function of the stomach in acute appendicitis]

Abstract:

The authors have studied the motoric activity of the stomach in 40 patients with acute appendicitis and in 15 patients with other lesions. In appendicitis the strength and depth of gastric contractions were found to be mostly labile, while the number of waves of gastric contractions was relatively constant.
