Background:

  • Neurons in the Ventral Interparietal (VIP) area are known to encode visual stimulus locations in a non-retinocentric frame of reference.

  • To investigate the role of area VIP in transforming visual signals into a non-retinocentric reference frame.
  • To determine if eye position influences neuronal activity in area VIP during a visual fixation task.
