Primary cardiac arrhythmias are rare in children presenting to the Emergency Department (ED). Atrial tachyarrhythmias were the most frequent disturbance identified in pediatric patients.

- Clinically significant arrhythmias were identified, including cases associated with Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome and four cardiac arrests.
Conclusions:
- Primary arrhythmias are uncommon presentations in pediatric EDs.
- Atrial tachyarrhythmias represent the most frequent rate and rhythm disturbance in this pediatric population.
- Further research into pediatric arrhythmia management in the ED is warranted.
