Background:

Observation:

  • This study highlights cases of gastrointestinal KS with specific appendiceal involvement.
  • Two patients presented with symptoms suggestive of acute appendicitis, with KS of the appendix not initially suspected.
  • A third patient had appendiceal KS as part of more widespread gastrointestinal KS.

  • KS can obstruct the appendix by forming submucosal nodules, leading to appendicitis-like symptoms.
