Abstract:
X-ray investigation is of real use in the therapeutic decision in cases of acute lower respiratory tract infections in children. Systematic lateral chest radiography must be abandoned. Follow up chest radiography may be performed 2 weeks after initiating the treatment. Chest scan is only useful in a limited number of selected indications.
