Seen and heard in Jerusalem--a fresh approach to advocacy for patients with special needs

The setting is Jerusalem, yet the issues are universal. The following account illustrates how patients with special needs can be compromised by poor oral health. The challenge is to engage other members of the health care team, and the lay public, in the debate by explaining dental issues within the context of these patients' lives in language that is clear to all.
