[Characteristics of a new aromatic heptaenic antibiotic, flavumycin A]

The study of the products of alkaline and acid hydrolysis showed that flavumycin A included mycosamine, an aminosugar and n-aminoacetophen, an aromatic fragment. The main functional groups of the antibiotics aglicone were determined.
