Government moves to tighten capital investment

In recent years, programs designed to control hospital capital investment have become a highly visible aspect of federal health policy. This article describes federal efforts to limit capital expenditures; describes the effect on hospitals of such capital limitation policies; and suggests how hospitals can deal with them.
