"Hazardous" wastes of the clinical chemistry laboratory

The authors of this article highlight recent government initiatives in the field of hazardous waste management, and present data on the hazardous wastes of a representative clinical chemistry laboratory. They cite a number of reasons why pathologists should begin addressing this issue, and hope that the results of the study will stimulate the much needed discussion.
