Role of the chairman in the P&T committee

The chairman of a P&T Committee has the power to set goals and priorities simply by the way he prepares for and disposes of committee business. A major goal of every P&T Committee is education, and it is the responsibility of the Committee chairman to create an educational atmosphere for the conduct of committee business so that ultimately good patient care will be accomplished.
