Developing a group for friends and families of schizophrenics: a hospital model

The article describes the experience of one psychiatric team in considering and then organizing a group for friends and families of schizophrenics for their psychiatric ward in a general hospital. Included in the article are suggested procedures, program areas to develop, and estimated costs. The benefits to patients, families and friends as well as staff are highlighted.
