A structured approach to evaluating and selecting clinical laboratory information systems

A number of informal and formal approaches are used for evaluating and selecting clinical laboratory computer systems. The authors review the more common methods and then explain in detail the multiattribute utility model, which they believe is the approach most likely to result in a successful decision.
