Flexible benefits contain costs, are competitive, meet employee needs
Abstract:
Healthcare organizations, like other businesses, are concerned with the costs of their employee benefit programs. They want to reduce their costs and yet remain competitive in the employee marketplace. One solution is the flexible benefits program. This program allows an element of choice in benefit coverage by permitting employees to choose one benefit over another, to trade one benefit for another, or perhaps to receive cash. Such flexibility allows the organization to contain costs by not paying for benefits employees do not want; remain competitive by offering an innovative benefit plan; and meet employee needs by offering benefits the employee wants or requires.
