Designing chemotherapy and radiation therapy facilities

Few disorders, regardless of their associated mortality rate, evoke the same degree of anxiety as that produced by cancer. Cancer treatment facilities should be designed to alleviate stress and provide comfort. This article addresses design considerations for selected areas of chemotherapy and radiation therapy facilities.
