Quality of life in a home for the elderly: a systemic approach

Describes and assesses a 12-year consultation program in a large, multi-level care facility for the elderly--from initial case conferences about individual hard-to-manage patients to a total institutional staff program of Quality of Life based on prescribed staff attitudes determined by assessing emotional assumptions. Describes a significant modification of care stimulated by the recognition of differences between women and men.
