Expanding services for the aged: is a senior living community the right option?

Hospitals' recent, albeit tardy, recognition of the emerging elderly market is prompting a variety of initiatives designed to address the needs of the aged. Among these is the development of senior living communities--congregate housing facilities for the ambulatory elderly.
