Trade magazines, especially those directed toward health careproducts manufacturers and distributors, are currently carrying stories about so-called "illegal" diversion of goods by resale at nonprofit hospitals. What is this all about? What gives rise to the claim of illegality? What stance should responsible hospital materials managers take? In this dialogue, Doctor Decker describes the problem, outlines the issues involved, and makes some recommendations.
