Abstract:
Adjusting to the pressures of competition, health care executives and trustees are looking for creative ways to position their facilities for future success by using architecture as a marketing tool. The corporate world has for some time used architectural design to achieve marketing goals. This approach is now being used in health. The author cites examples where hospitals have used architecture to reach target customers, successfully support efforts at niche marketing and convey a specific message or image.
