Caring for the terminally ill: one hospital's self-assessment and solutions

Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto established a committee for the total care of the terminally ill in order to evaluate the care currently being provided for such patients. Information was collected mostly by questionnaire; and subsequent programs, such as a consultation team to assist all hospital staff dealing with terminally ill patients, are being implemented.
